Another busy week! On Christmas Eve Jiana and I made Christmas cookies for Santa, then we made our annual trip to Del Mar's Holiday Lights. Jiana was a very happy girl on Christmas, it was the year of Barbie toys. Then, continued the Christmas spirit at Sea World Friday night with special holiday inspiried shows. Saturday night we went to see How the Grinch Stole Christmas at The Old Globe in Balboa Park with family. Of course I left the camera at home so I don't have a picture of the kids, but hopefully Dana got a good that I can share.

Getting Ready for Christmas Continued
It only allows me to put so many pictures on one post, so I had to start a new one. We continued our parade viewing with the Escondido Christmas Parade. Jiana's preschool had their Christmas Party Thursday night. She had a blast with all her friends and got crayons from Santa. Friday night we did our annual visit to The Wild Animal Parks Festival of Lights (this is the last year it will be there). Saturday night we had dinner with The Schall Family and then toured Christmas Card Lane. I would have taken pictures, but the camera doesn't work very well when the battery is at home charging. Oh well. It was too cold to take pictures anyway. So busy and it's not even Christmas yet.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all!
Getting Ready for Christmas
The first couple of weeks in December were busy. Jiana was very excited to get an advent calendar (of course filled with chocolate). We went to December Nights where the kids painted gourds and Jiana decorated a Gingerbread cookie and then ate the whole thing. Jiana has her own Christmas tree filled with Disney and My Little Pony ornaments. She is also a big fan of parades, so we started the Christmas season with the San Marcos Holiday parade. She loves the bands the most, gee I wonder where she gets that from.

New to Blogging
I'm sitting in my classroom doing 2 hour after-school detention with 3 lovely students. I might be more bored than they are so I thought this would be the perfect time to start a blog. Hopefully I'll be able to keep it up. Since I'm at school I can't add photos now, but I will. You'll be so inundated with pictures you'll wish I never had this detention duty.
This weekend is the Breast Cancer 3-Day. I'm feeling very separated from it this year since I'm not doing it. Max and Dennis are, so at least the support is out there. I really appreciate everyone who donated this year. I know it's a rough time right now for a lot of people. Larry, Jiana, and I are still going to be supporting by staying in a hotel on Mission Bay so we can watch all the festivities. It will still be fun, but not the same.
Since I'm new at this I hope everything looks right. We'll see. Talk to you soon.
